1949C 1955T 1985H
As an Emory undergraduate, James M. Wall was the associate editor of the Emory Wheel and worked full time as a sportswriter for the Atlanta Journal.
In 1952, he was well on his way to a writing career when he returned to Emory as a Candler student. He subsequently took on pastorates in small Georgia towns but soon blended his two loves by editing for Methodist publications.
In 1972, he became editor of The Christian Century, an influential journal, where for twenty-seven years he played a major role in the dialogue on ethical and religious concern within Protestant denominations. Wall is now a contributing editor for the publication.
