Lee Hong-Koo's distinguished career includes academia (he taught political science at several universities, including Emory), government (he served as the Republic of Korea's ambassador to both the United States and the United Kingdom, and his country elected him prime minister in 1994), and even international athletics (he chaired the World Cup Bid Committee that brought the most-watched sports event to Korea and Japan in 2002).
Lee is chair of the board of the Seoul Forum for International Affairs and the East Asian Institute. He also participates in the Global Leadership for Climate Action.
