Alan J. Lacy
From 1994 to 2006, Alan J. Lacy served in executive positions at what is now Sears Holdings Corporation. His increasing responsibility in finance and operations included his tenure as CEO and chair of the board from 2000 to 2005. He also served as vice chair of Sears Holdings Corporation from 2005 to 2006.
While at Sears, he acquired well-known clothing brands to try to reverse slumping sales; managed the sale of Sears's credit card business; drove up the stock price; oversaw the launch of Sears Grand, a new store format; and orchestrated the merger of Sears with Kmart.
